Key Responsibilities

  Student Guidance & Support
  • Counsel students on subject selection, academic planning, and time management strategies
  • Identify students’ strengths, challenges, and learning styles to offer tailored support
  • Provide remedial strategies or referrals for students struggling academically
  • Support students in setting short- and long-term academic goals
  • Counsel Class X students regarding academic pathways to facilitate smooth progression to Class XI and improve admission conversion rates.
  • Conduct one-on-one or group counselling sessions to build resilience and confidence
  Curriculum & Career Alignment
  • Guide students/ parents in understanding the ICSE curriculum structure and assessment patterns
  • Assist in aligning academic choices with future career aspirations
  • Working knowledge on Career Access Programme
  • Organize career talks, aptitude assessments, and exposure to higher education pathways
  Collaboration & Communication
  • Collaborate with the Admissions Department to compile and present detailed reports on student registration and enrollment trends
  • Coordinate with the Admissions team to initiate outreach and build partnerships with local playschools for potential tie-ups and collaborative programs
  • Connect with universities to collect information on admission criteria for various courses and career paths. Generate awareness of Admission Openings to Class XII students
  • Research and curate comprehensive information on higher education pathways, and establish communication channels with colleges and universities for student guidance
  • Profile analysis of Students before connecting them with Universities
  • Educate students of Scholarships
  • Provide personalized academic and career counselling to students of Classes XI and XII, and engage with parents to recommend suitable higher education options based on students’ aptitudes, academic performance, and interests
  • Work with teachers to identify students needing academic career related support
  • Maintain records of counselling sessions and interventions
  • Contribute to school policies on student welfare, discipline, and academic integrity
  • Organizing Education fair in School
  • Result oriented follow-ups
 

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or Counselling (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of ICSE curriculum and adolescent development
  • Excellent listening, empathy, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students and families
  • Proficiency in Documentation & Report preparation, and knowledge of basic online tools,
  • Knowledge in Computer Applications like, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in GSUITE will be added advantage
