• Since 2006, Yoga has been an integral part of the DPS Megacity curriculum. Students participate in various Yoga events such as Sports Day performances, the International Day of Yoga, and the Inter-House Yoga Competition. Regular PT classes also include dedicated sessions on Yoga and Asanas, promoting physical and mental well-being among students.The Yoga Department is headed by Mr. Birendra Thakur, a Certified Yoga Instructor.

• A semi – indoor shooting range to allow adequate airflow . Each lane is equipped with sturdy shooting benches , adjustable target systems , and clearly marked firing lines to ensure accuracy and safety.

DPS Megacity boasts a strong Shooting legacy with consistent achievements at CISCE Zonal , Regional, and National levels. The school won the CISCE zonal level championship in 2025. At the CISCE Nationals, Ayaat Haque and Trishanjit Das were the best performers.

Zonal Achievements:

In 2025, 19 participants from DPS Megacity were individual rank holders in the CISCE Zonal shooting competition.

Notable Players:

Sonakshi Ghatak – an exceptional talent in 10-meter peep sight air rifle shooting and is making the school immensely proud. She represented the school in SGFI level and West Bengal in all all-India shooting trials by NRAI.

The team is currently led by Abhinaba Dutta, a state Shooting player and certified NIS coach(SAI) since 2025, a renowned player in West Bengal.The DPS Megacity school shooting first led by Reena Basu ma’am from 2006. She was very dedicated trainer in school and under her guidance most players carried gold, silver and bronze medals .

• Recognition: The Lawn Tennis Squad of DPS Megacity has excelled at International and National platforms since the school’s inception. Former players such as Anurag Agarwal, Megha Roy, Shatavisa Ghosh, Dhani Srivastava, Amrit Chatterjee, and Abhro Ghosh have won gold medals in Inter-DPS Nationals, CISCE Nationals, and state Championships. Notably, Shatavisa Ghosh is now pursuing Sports Management in the United States and competes in Division 2 university games. Currently, the school boasts internationally ranked players, including Saumya Chatterjee, Evan Saha, and Shounak Chatterjee, who have represented West Bengal at Nationals and the ICSE team in SGFI competitions. DPS Megacity is also the only school in Bengal to win the inter-school Tennis Tournament (U14 boys & girls) for two consecutive years. Recognition: DPS Megacity has a strong basketball legacy with consistent achievement at inter-school, regional, and national levels. In 2012, the school won the BFI All-over School North East chapter and was runner-up for the next two years. The same year, the team secured 2^nd place in the Inter-DPS nationals. In 2019, the boys’ team became CISCE Regional Champions, and Malini Banerjee was selected for the SGFI team, which reached the semifinals. The exceptional alumni players like Jatin Agarwal, Puneet Singhania ( Head Coach at Sports is Life ), Mrinay Jaiswal, Kunal Pandey, Ashutosh Choudhary, Pallav Sarkar, Rohan Roy ( Currently professionally playing and coaching in Canada), Ankit Das, Hemang Bhojnagarwala, and Vaibhav Lakhotia have helped the team to excel in every championship they played. In 2024, the school achieved 2^nd position in the Inter-DPS Zonals, while the U17 girls and U19 boys teams both finished 2^nd in the CISCE Basketball Regionals. Seven players were selected to represent West Bengal in the CISCE Nationals, and Devrat Baheti(U17) earned 2^nd position nationally. The team is led by Mr. Subhasish Pal,a renowned coach in West Bengal with over 20 years of experience, a FIBA Level 2 certification, and participation in the Jr. NBA Basketball without Borders program in Melbourne. He is being assisted by Ms.Swaranjali Gupta (since 2022), a National Referee and NIS Certified coach.

CISCE BASKETBALL NATIONAL FOR GIRLS , GORAKHPUR

• Infrastructure: A well maintained  rectangular playing field designed for hockey activities and training .
•  Engagement: Among all CISCE schools in Bengal, DPS Megacity stands out as the only school to have its hockey team mark a significant milestone in the school’s sporting journey. A total of 43 students, 22 boys and 21 girls, have been trained so far, practicing together with great enthusiasm and discipline. Even students from classes 4 and 5 actively participate in regular practice sessions, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing talent from a young age.
• Competitions: House-level matches and friendly fixtures. Remarkably, in its very first year, the DPS Megacity Hockey Team qualified for the CISCE National Championship held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, showcasing their skill and determination.
  The team is headed by Mr. Kaushik Dey, a national player, national coach, and district girls’ coach, whose guidance and expertise have been instrumental in shaping this young and promising team.

DPS Megacity has maintained a strong cricketing tradition since 2006, securing numerous trophies over the years.

Our school has proudly participated in prestigious tournaments such as the Millennium cup, Mayor’s cup, CISCE national, Brijesh Patel Tournament and Sixer Cricket tournament.

Since 2023, the school has been hosting the Shyam sundar shah cricket Tournament, achieving remarkable results: Champions in the 1st and 3rd years,and runner-up in the 2nd year.

Some of the exceptional players from our school team include Neelabh Banerjee, Souparna Chandra, Saksham Sinha,Anish Rathi,Risabh singhi,Siddarth Singh.

• DPS Megacity football legacy, school has a legendary football history. Since 2007, the school has won numerous trophies in CISCE Tournaments.In 2023, the school began hosting the Smt. Manori Devi Smriti Memorial cup in memory of the beloved mother of our Pro-vice Chairman , achieving remarkable results :

  Winners in the first year , Runner up in the 2^nd  and 2^nd  Runner up in girls category .
