Delhi Public School Megacity Kolkata planned an exciting and wonderful eight-day journey to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The journey was not only memorable, but also splendid. Before the journey, the students were guided by our respected headmaster, Jude Sir, and the participating teachers.

Day 1

The journey started on 24th February, 2025. The students, along with their parents, reached Howrah Station at 10:30 p.m. for the long-awaited school trip to Visakhapatnam. The train was delayed, but students felt safe because the school arranged police security. At midnight, after waving goodbye to their parents, their exciting journey finally began.

Day 2

The next morning, the teachers and students were served a delicious breakfast of veg burger and mango juice. After a lengthy train delay, the team finally arrived in Visakhapatnam at 4:00 p.m. All checked into a beautiful hotel, chose the room and the room partners, and enjoyed a cosy evening. Dinner was absolutely scrumptious.

Day 3

After breakfast, the students visited Kailasagiri, where we explored a colourful market and bought adorable souvenirs. Then they were taken to the magnificent Simhachalam Temple, where they offered prayers. Back at the hotel, the students celebrated a classmate’s birthday and enjoyed a delightful dinner.

Day 4

They travelled to the breathtaking Araku Valley. Explored the Tribal Museum and walked on wooden bridges surrounded by greenery. Later, the Borra Caves left all awestruck with it’s magical lights and enormous rock formations. At night, all danced, laughed, and ended their day with delicious food.

Day 5

The students spent their last day in Visakhapatnam visiting three amazing places—RK Beach with its calming waves, the fascinating Submarine Museum, and the impressive Airplane Museum. Each place had a story that inspired us. In the evening, we boarded the train and bid farewell to the city.

Day 6

The students, along with their teachers, reached Shalimar Station at 6:00 a.m., greeted by their parents. After reuniting with their parents, they began their inward journey towards home. Their hearts carry the echoes of a beautiful journey—woven with laughter, wonder, and timeless bonds shared with friends.
