Show and Tell

A ‘Show and Tell’ activity was held in the online class from Nursery to Class 2, where children were enjoined to
speak a few sentences on any one object or toy of their choice. The main objective was to encourage the students
to express themselves, enhance their communication skills through sharing an item of personal interest with the
class. All children showed the objects or toys like teddy bears, cars, dolls, balls, puzzles, building blocks and
many other things. Each child came forward one by one, showed their favourite toy or object and confidently
spoke few sentences about it mentioning their name, colour, who gave it to them and why they like it. Children
were very excited to show their objects or toys. Even, some shy children also spoke confidently. Everyone
clapped after they finished. The classroom was full of laughter and happy faces. Class 2 children also wrote a
composition in class about their favourite object.

Overall, the Show and Tell activity was interactive and engaging. It gave the opportunity of self- expression to
each and every child. The activity also promoted attentive listening, as students were encouraged to listen to their
peers as well. It created a joyful learning environment and supported the holistic development of the students by
instilling communication skills and confidence in an online class setting.
