HOME SCIENCE ACTIVITY- GARDENING

Venue: Home Science Lab and the field near the Hostel Building
Participants: Class 10 Home Science Students
Number of Participants: 08.

Purpose:

• Fostering environmental awareness within the school premises and environmental stewardship.

• Use of those plants for cooking as well as medicinal uses.

• Hands on experimental learning

• Life skills and responsibilities

Activity:

The students enthusiastically planted the saplings in different pots keeping in mind the criteria of nurturing them, watering them on a regular basis, adding manures and fertilizers.
They were also careful while performing the activity as they used gloves and masks for safety and hygiene.
Overall, it was a good educational fun activity where they learnt by doing.
