Earth Day

DPS Megacity, Kolkata celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility towards
the environment. A series of meaningful activities were organized to spread awareness about conservation and
sustainability. On 16th April a Poster-Making Activity conducted in all the pre-primary level. Bottle Collection
Drive was conducted on 17th April. Students participated actively by collecting used plastic bottles from their
homes and surroundings. The poster-making session encouraged them to express their thoughts creatively on
saving the Earth, reducing the use of plastic and protecting nature by reusing and recycling.

On 21st April, the results of the collection drive were announced. The Pre-Primary section showed remarkable
effort, and the winner was declared with an impressive collection of 111 kilograms of bottles. Their contribution
reflected enthusiasm and teamwork at a very young age. On 22nd April, students took part in a Comprehension
Activity based on Earth Day. This activity helped them understand the importance of protecting our planet and
reinforced the message of environmental responsibility.

Overall, the Earth Day celebrations were both educational and inspiring. The activities not only promoted
awareness but also encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
